Basic Info

Russia, (Russian: Россия), or the Russian Federation is a country so large (largest in the world), it spans accross Europe and Asia bordering the Arctic Sea to the north, Bering Strait to the east, Europe to the west and Asia to the south. It's capital is Moscow. Also home to Saint Petersburg, Yekaterenburg, Novoibrisk, Volgagrad, Smolensk, Chelyabinsk, Samara, Yakutsk (The coldest city on earth), Vladivostok and Khabarovsk. In Russia, the official language is Russian spoken in about half of it's total land area; language minorities include Yakut (10%), Evenki (10%), Nenets (5%), Even (5%), Chuckchi (5%), Komi (3%), Ngansan (3%) and too many, many others to explain. In Russia, they are primarily Orthodox. The leader of Russia as of 2024 is Vladmir Putin.

The Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed, known in English as Saint Basil's Cathedral, is an Orthodox church in Red Square of Moscow, and is one of the most popular cultural symbols of Russia.

The Moscow Kremlin or simply the Kremlin is a fortified complex in Moscow, Russia. Located in the centre of the country's capital city, it is the best known of the kremlins and includes five palaces, four cathedrals, and the enclosing Kremlin Wall along with the Kremlin towers.

The Red Square is one of the oldest and largest squares in Moscow, Russia. It is located in Moscow's historic centre, in the eastern walls of the Kremlin. It is the city's most prominent landmark, with famous buildings such as Saint Basil's Cathedral, Lenin's Mausoleum and the GUM department store.
